Problem
The increasing adoption of electric vehicles has led to a surge in battery production. However, these batteries have a limited lifespan and contain valuable, often rare materials. The challenge lies in safely and efficiently recycling these complex components to recover materials, reduce waste, and minimize the environmental impact of EV battery disposal. This macro problem also brings its own set of challenges to multiple stakeholders in the battery insurance space to manage risk and maintaining price transparency to consumers. We supported Batteryze to create a platform for a pilot test with Pedal Movement in LA to track battery health with insights updated daily and showcasing respective battery warranty data to leverage the insights to educate / explain suggested retirement and replacement schedule through the shared battery insights and battery safety.

Project Overview
We closely collaborated with the founder to lay out the information architecture and user flows for various stakeholders before developing wireframes, designing high fidelity screens and developing the Product ready for Pilot scale deployment. We created the MVP of the product to show daily performance data tracked along with delivering online training manuals for Pedal Movement team to use the platform. The platform would provide visibility and tracking for the fleet owner and their EV battery insurers on a daily basis.
